GMTmoto GS LegRest No longer availableThe legrests are no longer available. This page is here for historical purposes only. The GMTmoto Legrest is a stronger, more comfortable version of the classic highway peg. They let you stretch your legs out when the going is smooth. The LegRests are a super-clean install and fit your bike well, because they use the original valve-cover bolts. They don't disrupt the lines of the bike, still allow easy valve-cover removal, leave plenty of access for the oil filler cap, and even make adding oil easier, because the upper plate keeps your funnel upright. These are not highway pegs, LegRests are better than highway pegs, because they keep your legs in a more comfortable position.  Download Installation Instructions.

"Beautiful"The GMTmoto LegRest has no competition in neither function nor design. The rests are made of 6061-T6 aluminum, and are black anodized.FittingThe legrests fit all single-spark 1100 and 1150s that don't have bodywork in the way. 
In order to fit the 1150 twin-spark valve cover, you have to dremel off a small flange behind the rear-upper bolt. This is easy to do, but not everyone feels comfortable with this kind of work. The leg rests do not fit any model of hex-head engine. In other words, none of the 1200s. Strong!A full-size adult rider can stand on the insides of the LegRests without any significant flex or any fear of breaking. John designed these using CAD to allow for all normal uses with a good safety margin. Check out the picture of John (over 6'!) standing on the pegs without the plates coming even close to the cooling fins on the cylinder. OK, I know you can't see that kind of detail in that picture, but come on, it's not like we're lying. |
